Field Experiences
|
Field experiences are completed at different levels by all Teacher Education Program students. Field experiences provide an opportunity for candidates to interact with professionals in the field; to participate in and observe a range of students, levels, and programs; to identify and develop skills necessary for teaching; and to determine if there is commitment to the teaching profession. The field experiences help faculty evaluate the candidate's potential as a teacher. National Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) program goals and learning outcomes are used in evaluation.
