Description
Students preparing to teach at the middle or high school level complete a degree in the subject area(s) they wish to teach, e.g., English or mathematics. They are advised within their major department and, upon admission to the Teacher Education Program, within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Secondary licensure students seek admission to the Teacher Education Program, usually at the end of the sophomore year, and complete all degree and licensure requirements in their chosen field(s).
